Cisgendered was first used in an academic paper in the early 90s, Transgendered was first used in an academic paper in the 60s. We're on very new footing with sexual and gender identification issues, so of course there are going to be new terms invented all the time as necessary, and cisgendered is only starting to

"So you're just an incredibly hot homeless person?"

The mixed reaction to Cosmopolis baffled me, I thought it was masterful.

It's Criminal Intent, but Stephen Colbert as a villainous and fraudulent archivist (such a stereotype) is a real treat.

@Scrawler2:disqus , The English series is even more plotted, especially if you watch it over all three series. "Ridiculous" doesn't even begin to cover some of the shit that happens in that show. But I still love it, of course, and I think one of the downfalls of this show is it has a tendency to run to the middle

I'm a gigantic fan of the book, so I was going in with that, but I really loved it. Great tone overall.

I really enjoy Streep doing comedy. This, Adaptation, even Postcards from the Edge…she's got really excellent comedic timing.

Ooh that's on my to-watch list for sure.

I'd like to see the complete run of Army Man, because what I've read of it is some of the funniest comedy ever written.

She's fantastic, even though I wasn't completely sold on all of her plots. I don't know how far you are so I won't get into specifics, though.

You scoff, but I've heard Philip Glass' proposed score and it's wonderful. The man does some very innovative things with the wah pedal.

@avclub-a80fcd777df4edacea4dd9e20f8730e4:disqus , you just described my life's dream.

I saw that Chris Rock in France movie on Netflix today and its existence really surprised me. I should definitely watch it.

Did you know that racial slurs aren't allowed on Stormfront? I find that weirdly hilarious.

That phrase is usually enough to make a blood vessel burst in my forehead.

I really dislike Edward Scissorhands, which is probably one of the least defensible positions I hold. It's like strongly disliking an adorable corgi puppy frolicking in the snow.

I've seen both, but I assume you singled out the German version because it's impossible to be upset with Naomi Watts' sunny presence.

I had a pretty rough weekend filled with unpleasant personal revelations and general unhappiness. I did, however, watch Michael Haneke's The Piano Teacher on Netflex, which cheered me right up!

This surprises me, because I've read several of Steven Tyler's articles for the Journal of Constitutional Law and always found him to have a clear, well-defined understanding of the document. I may be confusing him with someone else, though.

I think I convinced myself that that Gary Oldman dwarf movie was a terrible fever dream. Thanks for reminding me it's not, I have a sudden urge to drink at one in the afternoon.
