What? You didn't love Kate Mara's starmaking turn on American Horror Story?

It's difficult to read that play (and I do, with surprising frequency) and not see Pacino as Cohn. Same with Mary Louise Parker as Harper
I had a fantastic day today, and coming home to find a Benedict Cumberbatch article made my day complete. Happy Friday, y'all!
Sean O'Neal: If I write a movie called Let's Hope She's Exceptionally Pretty now, do I have to give you co-writer credit? Please advise.
You won't be saying that after my impromptu performance of Zoo Bissou Bissou at your birthday party. I look good in a miniskirt.
Okay, reaction seems to be pretty mixed on this so far, so I'll tune in with a rave. First things first, I've seen all three British series multiple times and am a huge fan, so I'm not coming into this blind. I'm also a huge fan of Spacey and a major Fincher apologist, so if you strongly disagree with my assessment…
I found Boss was overly serious, actually, so much so that it became self-parody. There were no light touches, everything was unbearably heavy handed.
One is 59 minutes and 23 seconds, the other is 59 minutes and 44 seconds. Netflix is radically redefining how we view our serialized dramas!
The third series' final image is pretty haunting, but it was sort of a dumb storyline. The second isn't as fun as the first (is fun the right word? I find it pretty fun), but it's definitely less of a drag than the the third series.
"daddddddddddddddy"

It could work! He's a charming dude, I really enjoyed seeing him in interviews.
Apparently the Elaine May - Mike Nichols version of the play really zeroed in on the dark humor. But we have become accustomed to seeing it as Liz and Dick-filtered camp, huh?
Well that's damning with faint praise, isn't it? I, on the other hand, thought he was extra-alright!
Stephen Fry was extremely nervous about acting with a naked Michael Sheen, as I'm sure we'd all be.
It pains me to admit this as a non-resident, but Montreal has too much character. Montreal can only pass as itself.
Or if you want to get even more bargain-basement: Calgary.
I wonder what Star Wars as directed by Fassbinder would have been like. I'm guessing…awesome.
I get what they're going for with the whole "Lost Angels = Los Angeles" thing (who wants to bet that the credits feature the words "Lost Angels" fading out, leaving only the LA intitials?), that title sounds distinctly more like one of those weird Canadian sci-fi import shows that wind up on SyFy.
