Have you seen The Color of Money, from 1986? I think he's pretty damn good in that film, too.

While I was not a fan of all of his catchphrases, I don't think they ever got in the way of delivering the highlight.

Unfortunately, you'd have to add "very popular" to the mix … sigh …

Christ, didn't this happen years ago with The 90s Show episode?

Yeah - I like Songs a lot, too - I definitely think that it is their most lyrically and thematically cohesive album since Achtung Baby. And I thought that How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, while not a great "album," definitely has a lot of good rock and pop songs on it.

U2 is my favorite band, I really like the new album, and I enjoy sitting around bullshitting a night away about music and movies with my friends, so this podcast is really manna from heaven …

No mention of the best part of the Force Awakens trailer - the Millenium Falcon in all its glory?!

Any word on a Citizen Dick reunion tour?

Eh, can't we just get Topher Grace to do it?

Hey, how'd you get a hold of my Life Syllabus?

What does culturally relevant even mean? And based on much of what "the culture" find "relevant" these days (the Kardashians, 2 Broke Girls, terrible pop "singers"), I wouldn't be in too much of a hurry to remain relevant, either.

I do not fear that awesome planet where this is happening …

Anyone else remember World of Krypton from back in the 80s? I still have that run - I think it was only 4 issues. That's pretty much all I needed as far as Superman's Kryptonian backstory. And, based on the awfulness of Gotham, all I need of that pre-history is Gotham Central.

You stopped at what is considered by many as their "meh"-est album … Viva la Vida is terrific from start to finish, and Prospekt's March is very good, too.

But I think a Phoenix Dr. Strange would be pretty interesting …

The last two times I saw U2, on their last two tours, there were $50 or so GA tickets available … I know it's always good fun to shit on everything U2 does here at the AVClub, but for a mega-band, I think that they actually keep their ticket prices reasonably priced.

I really like Songs, but I fear it will always be overshadowed by all of the hoopla surrounding its release. I really wish the narrative would have been "U2 quietly release their best, most personal album in almost 20 year" instead.

Man, he sang the shit out of Streets last night …

Yeah … it was better-than-expected for a TV mini-series, but "Excellent"?

Hopefully one of those flashbacks will reveal how he stole Lt. Ed's identity during the Korean War.
