Man, he was terrific on Sons this season. I thought his sudden rush to rejoin the life after working so hard to get away was a bit clumsy, but I guess it fits the whole bleak arc that these guys (and women) are never going to escape that life. I think the end of Sons is going to be as dark as the end of The Shield.

Yeah, this idea that Cruise is the worst man in Hollywood is really tired. The guy never turns in a just-here-for-a-paycheck performance, and rarely makes an out-and-out terrible movie. I'm sure they're no masterpieces, but this and Jack Reacher look kinda good.
