I have always liked Coldplay, so there … but I find the shift in the band's perception by the media to be very interesting. This record has gotten mostly positive reviews from what I've seen, and even Pitchfork gave them a 7.0. Is this a backlash to the backlash?

The tour guide was Dave Higgins, from the ol' Higgins Boys and Gruber show. Anyone else remember those bygone days of The Comedy Channel - MST3K, The Higgins Boys and Gruber, Night After Night, Sports Monster … those were seminal shows of my youth.

True - it is a bit heartening to see the old "vote with your feet" strategy at work. If only we used this more often with banks, gas companies, and the like, rather than just our home entertainment.
