I like how Mike and Mercedes can afford to just randomly miss school, fly back to their hometown and help out with a school play for a few episodes. Yeah, that seems realistic. (Almost as realistic as Rachel complaining how she can't afford clothes anymore, yet she takes a last minute flight to break up with Finn in

I think them talking to Beiste was their attempt at couples counselling,

I didn't laugh, but I certainly rolled my eyes. Everytime the show brings up how a character "learned what it meant to be a man" from one of the other shitty problematic characters I have to groan. It's not meaningful, it's not deep, and no one cares about "what it means to be a man" on Glee.

It is really unsettling. The show's complete rewrite of all the problematic things Finn does in order to pretend, at the end of the day, the show had a "hero" is incredibly annoying and offensive. Dude publicly outs someone, and then blackmails them into coming out to their friends and is treated as a hero for this.

Because he's a generally shitty person who does shitty things and then immediately after the show heralds him as a leader and a great human being (that's why he bothers me anyway)

Yeah, the portrayal of Unique thus far feels like a huge dose of Did Not Do The Research. They keep conflating drag with being transgender as well as with a lot of other gender spectrum things. As of this episode though, I believe Unique is trans and not just a drag persona (basing this on Finn's line to Figgins "If

The thing that bothers me with the PSA stuff is that Glee always feels it needs to have a villain for their PSAs. Sue needs to be anti-trans so that Glee can get a hamfisted message across, even tho this conflicts with what we have seen of Sue thus far and has no rhyme or reason to it. Apparently Glee can't seem to

i don't know. the way he was talking about it to sam and his song choice made him seem the victim. i really wish a character would have just been like "dude, YOU cheated on him" at some point.

Well, I'd consider Unique still a new character given how she only had like two episodes last season, but other than that, yeah, kinda agree.

I suppose it's possible he could have been referring to the "attemptive rape then chopped off her legs" scene?

He thought that was shocking, really? I wasn't mentioning it because I thought it was shocking, I just thought it was hilariously absurd. Like, I was laughing during that scene and thinking "Yup, that's AHS for you."
