The idea that the plight of migrant farm workers is somehow analogous to the situation of people that get paid more money in a year to talk in cartoon voices a couple of hours a week  than 99.9% of people on the planet will make in their lives is frankly ridiculous.

Ah. So one of you is truly evil.  Good to know.

Patriots vs Green Bay with Patriots squeaking out a one point win in the highest scoring game in Super Bowl history that also goes down as the most stellar defensive match of all time.

Oh, god, no. Please no.

Don't know if I'm ever going to have time to watch this but I've got to ask.  When King talks about the movie The Shining, has he come around on it at all?  I mean it's recognized as kind of a classic and I know it's a movie that I like more and more every time I see it.  Has his opinion changed?

Not only has the show been on so long I'm sick of it but I'm actually kind of sick of AV Club comment threads about it.

A clip show!  End on a clip show!

People should be successful and happy if they can.  They should also have the taste and self awareness to know how it looks when people that already have more than they can spend in a lifetime act like whiny little bitches.

I remember feeling exactly that way too,  And your comment made me just realize that I'm not now one of those old people.  I am OLDER than those old people.  I left thirty-something a couple of years ago.  I can smell the foul stench of decay as the reaper grows ever nearer……

Funny, my reaction is just the opposite.  I listened to it just a minute ago, and I couldn't tell you a single lyric or hum a note.  I listened to it but it failed to make any impact what so ever. It passed like a puff of air.

Sad as this is to say, because "Community" is one of my favorite shows and there are other TV shows I really enjoy, but there isn't anything I like enough to actually sit through the commercials.  If I couldn't skip commercials, I would stop watching TV altogether.

Me too.

You, like him, need a defense.

It's not his fault—he's got no defense to back him up.  Can't make good movies without a solid defense.

It was plenty escapable if you have a DVR and Adblock.  I had heard about this, but never seen it.  Still haven't. Won't ever.  All hail the DVR!

If it isn't but the audience thinks it is then that crosses over into some sort of super-meta-irony that will end life on this planet.

After the invention of the internet, how is the eye candy factor even a reason to watch something  on TV anymore ?  If I'm one of the douchebags that want to see Lyla Garrity in sexy outfits (and I am) then all I have to do is get online  for a never ending stream of eye candy. (And I have.)

"And the movie ramps up the repulsion!"

"We call this part of the movie 'She had to ask.' "

From "Parts:The Clonus Horror:"
Tom (I think): Mike, I don't see a happy ending coming.
Mike: Right now, any ending would make as happy as I have ever been.
