I saw this in the theater when I was 6 (yes, I'm old!) and I still remember it very clearly. I thought it was thrilling but it left me kind of numb for hours afterwards, too. The best part is I saw it as a doublefeature with Yellow Submarine. There's a mindfuck of an afternoon for a 6 year old.

It's my favorite movie of theirs, easily.

I'm not really sure what Jon Snow is up to and I get he feeling he doesn't, either. He seems nicely conflicted right now. This show does a great job of fucking with what you think is going to happen with these characters. Hell, my biggest surprise of the season in that Fat Sam seem to becoming a major character as I

How about fire? You don't need an actual drill to melt ice. But the magic thing makes sense. I initially thought it was The Crows who might have prevented pointed ice melting for so many years but they have the remark about the trees growing back as indicative that there aren't so many Crows left anymore so that

Just some random shit because Mrs. Shooty Babbitt cares not for this show and the voices in my head don't answer back…yet.

What happened to The Spent Poets? I waited for that second album for years and years. I think I still might be, technically, waiting for it since I would be buying it the second it came out even now.

Me, too. I've always told people they're my guilty pleasure but the critical reappraisals of them make me think I don't have to qualify my affection for the album anymore. Now all we need is some retro love for Chris Mars' Horseshoes and Hand Grenades and The Spent Poets and my 1992 self will be vindicated for having

Good call on Deliverance.

Had to register just to agree with everyone who thinks this movie is brilliant. I watched it on a Qantas flight coming back from a trip to Australia and had no idea what it was or what to expect. Thanks Qantas for showing your movies uncut and for the complimentary beer! Re: the kangaroo hunt—my understanding is that
