Well, I think terrible is an overstatement, but I'm not fond of how the vocals on that album aren't loud enough.  It's his aesthetic choice, I know, and maybe you lose all the good Albini stuff if he ups the levels on her voice, but it does bug me a little bit.

Anyone else catch the continuity error in the Saul Goodman scene?  He gives Jesse's ex-girlfriend the envelope with the check, then when he's about to walk out the door, you can see the envelope in his pocket.

Absolutely — the drunk driving and even the anti-Semitic screeds pale in comparison to the physical abuse and violent threats against women.

Is Mel Gibson beyond redemption? Is anyone? Will we ever be able to
watch Gibson onscreen again without thinking of breathless threatening
phone calls to ex-girlfriends, drunk driving, or anti-Semitic screeds?

"Let's Kill Hitler" would be a great name for a band.

Is Jesse's house bugged?

Wait, are you talking about the takeout that happens after the failed hit on Hank?  If so, that wasn't Gus's team, it was a joint U.S.-Mexican law enforcement team (or so I thought).

I'll take a look at lastpass, Kenny Bania. Thanks.

Login issues?
Half the time, I post as "Anonymous37, not logged in" because the login system here will periodically log you out, and then when you attempt to login again, it won't recognize your username/password combination. I then have to reset my password to the *same* *exact* password as I had before, at which

A very funny reference to "Stand By Me". Even funnier: instead of it taking the entire film to see one, they just have to walk a few blocks. And their response upon seeing it: "It smells." And seconds later, they've forgotten all about it.

I did like the pun the final caller slipped in about raising two Bayers/Bears. And Tom got in some good lines with his incredulity about her father claiming to be the first "Todd". But yeah, Bayer wasn't that great of an interviewee.

Also Scrabble has the massive flaw of giving a huge advantage to people who know the 2-letter words which are in the Scrabble dictionary.

Earwolf donations
"Most of the shows have donation pages that would gladly take a couple of bucks from listeners—like Earwolf Media, which recently moved into a new studio currently being funded out of pocket by producers Jeff Ullrich and Scott Aukerman."

It is — but Samm Levine heard it secondhand, so who knows exactly what happened there. But he does seem to take it at face value himself, for what it's worth.

Story about The Fugitive series (the 90's one on CBS)
On the original I Love Movies podcast with Doug Benson, Doug used to ask his guests if they had ever worked with Alec Baldwin (just because he loved A.B. on 30 Rock). When Samm Levine came on, Doug asked the question, and Samm said no, but he did have a funny

I thought Vince's dad's fate was going to be something else
"I give the Friday Night Lights writers credit for not taking the obvious route with Vince's dad, at least not right away."

Sony DAT — Another reason for the debacle
"First out of the gate was Sony's Digital Audio Tape, which arrived later than promised and was plagued by record-industry resistance (since the copying-averse major labels couldn't see any advantage in better-quality replication) and consumer-unfriendly pricing (which was

"Why am I balancing a tack hammer on my head?"
"He who can balance a tack hammer on his head can head off his foes with a balanced attack."
"And why do I have watermelons on my feet?"
(Long silence)
"I don't recall telling you to do that."
