The plural should be harmonica only if the singular is harmonicum. If harmonica is the signular, then harmonicae should be the plural.
I can't believe that nobody mentioned the world's slowest ever credits roll at the end. I didn't laugh at every moment of this show, but I was in hysterics at the end.
Seriously. Doesn't she know we have not names to waste right now? There's a war on!
Sometimes when an author presents a real problem and solves it with a fantastic solution, it's meant to symbolize that the solution itself isn't real. Recall the ending to Euripides' play, Medea.
This is what I thought as well, although my theory has been that the Krieger1 and Krieger2 haven't met.
I didn't get the bit about needing the tanker or wall, though. I mean, Flash starts vibrating/phasing. Either the bomb doesn't, in which case it comes off right there, or it vibrates/phases with him, in which case why would running through something solid help? I know, I know, comic logic, but still… .
Is it just me or is Liz Lemon getting hotter?
Stanislaw Lem
Someone has to mention Dave Foley in News Radio in this conversation.
This is the fictionalized story of the first clones.
David Warner: Don't be a stubborn fool. How many?
Patrick Stewart: THERE ARE *FOUR* ADS!!
Lawrence Kudlow. <shudder>
"I'd say more, but I don't want to be the pedantic asshole…" Due respect, but I think we're long past this point.
As others pointed out, generally it's not useful, and of course researchers are very cognizant of the ethical issues, but some unethical research has at least been studied seriously and cited in other published papers.
"THEM!" was released in May of '54, "Gojira" in November, so "THEM!" predates it. It is, as far as I know, the first movie to contain irradiated monsters. It's also a good film that's still worth seeing.
You liked Son of Godzilla?
While I wouldn't call this movie a classic, I liked it. I enjoyed Lee's comic-book shooting style, and the top four actors are all good. It is a little dark, but to me the Hulk has always been a much darker character then it generally seems in the comic books, so I think that creative choice was a good one.
Way too over the top in a comic book superhero movie? If there's any genre where over-chewing the scenery is not only acceptable but called for, I'd say this is it.
I would say that Krieger is the smartest, or at least he'd score the highest on an IQ test, even though he's not a real doctor. Having Cyril be the mission coordinator back at HQ while the field agents are effing up his carefully designed mission plans might be good for a laugh or two.
