A friend of mine was pulled up on stage, put in the stocks, had most of his clothes pulled off, was then slathered in shaving cream and flogged with a cat 'o nine tails.  Thankfully for him, it was during the pre-internet era.

Please do that. I've always loved him back from M the H days, through solo stuff with Mick Ronson and his last couple of albums. I've seen him play live in tiny bars and he carried it off like he was playing for 20,000 people.
