Yes he was the hardest working man in rock for a while and we sure at the time wished that he wasn't. Both Live Aids, bogus movies, that album with the Big Red Face, I remember hoping that he, Sting and Bono would all die in a plane crash in an eighties version of the Day the Music Died (Again).
