It's hilarious that he thought it was going to be this game changer that would revolutionize the way we consume online media (or whatever) and it never even came close to happening. I'm amazed they're still clinging to it, it really is awful.

Unpopular opinion: this is the worst line in an otherwise great movie.

Rewatching it as an adult, I noticed some subtle things I didn't as a kid. Colonel Sandurz raising his eyes in surprise and getting out of the frame as the camera pans towards Dark Helmet is weirdly hilarious.

Pretty sure that was mostly supposed to be tongue in cheek rather than an actual well documented phenomenon.

I saw Gilmour live on his last tour, and he actually did Astronomy Domine. Slightly odd in that he wasn't in the band when it was originally released, but it's cool that he still breaks out some obscure stuff.

There's a Pink Floyd bootleg out there, I think still available on Youtube, called Cruel But Fair which is from a concert in LA in 1974. The sound quality, while not great, is as good as a bootleg gets, and the setlist is incredible: most of Wish You Were Here, all of Dark Side of the Moon, the proto-Dogs and Sheep,

There's even less of Pink Floyd at their peak, which for me is even more baffling. There's Live at Pompeii, a bunch of fan recordings, and some professional Wall footage that was completely botched.

Specifically, mid-'70s Pink Floyd, for me. The live Wall concert album sounds fantastic and I'd totally see that too, but from the Wall through the Waters-less era, everything seems a bit less spontaneous and energetic. A Gilmour concert these days (which is great!) probably isn't too different from a 1987 or 1994

She's got a touch of Tuesday Weld

“That young girl,” he added unexpectedly, “is one of the least benightedly unintelligent life forms it has been my profound lack of pleasure not to be able to avoid meeting.”

Arthur Dent expressing eagerness to go out on a crazy space adventure. The complete opposite of every other incarnation in tone and spirit.

Apparently in the original British publication, "knee-biter" is "asshole." Normally I'm against bowdlerization but I've always loved "knee-biter."

Don't they get killed by Seal Team Ricks after Morty brings Summer back to C137 to demonstrate how irresponsible Rick is? For some reason that actually kind of bothered me.

It's a bummer there isn't more tall porn out there. Most of what's there seems to be some woman who's probably 5'8" manhandling some 5'2" guy.

Yeah, it's sometimes a little jarring and harsh to hear Waters' live versions of Pink Floyd.

Yeah, you could pretty much name any Gilmour solo, but my favorite off Animals is that guitar solo at the end of Pigs (Three Different Ones)—absolutely vicious, gives me chills every time.

I'd say the same goes for Money, especially that third section of the guitar solo where he hits those high notes.

I'm hoping they start airing them after the release of the special? Maybe?!?!

I don't think he's especially political but he can certainly be cantankerous and his mind works in a strange way.

You're making a pretty bold claim and backing it up with "my source is my memories of a deleted myspace thread with a relatively small self-selected sample of users." I know it's just an avclub comment thread but damn, in the spirit of fighting fake news, we should hold ourselves to some standards..
