I think most of us are long gone by then (2-3 days is an eternity online)—I am, anyway. But even if they did come out in droves, these predictions of how bad the comments will be are still cliched upvote grabs that have been posted hundreds of times by now with little variation.

The comments on this article seem to be very deservedly focusing on their dumb name.

Whoa, I'm surprised Tasha Robinson's Lebowski burn there didn't prompt a Koski-Ghostbusters level backlash (that it truly would have deserved).

Comments like those pop up in every single article that might have something remotely controversial, and the predicted comments of doom never actually come. The "lol I'm not gonna touch this comments section!" comments are invariably stupid and pointless.

Based on the use of the word "illegally" I believe CineCraft is already aware of that.

I've only seen the film once, but having read the post I'm not at all convinced. Seems like someone else's arbitrary definition of evil.

It's like Lenin said, you look for the people who benefit, and uh, you know what I'm trying to say…

My favorite variation of this is from Norm Macdonald's podcast, commenting on the story of the kid who stole a plane then crashed it but survived: "Why don't they make the whole plane out of that kid?"

Didn't help by any means but it's not like I had thought very highly of him before that.

They can be surprisingly soft. Didn't they not despise Chappie?

"the internet"

RLM also pretty clearly enjoys making films themselves, so it's an excuse to make sets, special effects, dialogue, etc. and have some fun with it.

Considering every single other thing in the movie seems to have been driven by PR firms, focus groups, and corporate directives, it's not a stretch to assume the same for the casting.

I don't know about Sony itself doing it, but people in general definitely played up that angle.

Then he is better at hiring journalists than he is at being or using one.

I'm a well wisher, in that I don't wish them any specific harm.

Man, say what you will about the lawsuit, Peter Thiel, and whatever else, but fuck AJ Daulerio.

That was my impression as well, and I'd be curious to see what proportion of unwarranted police shootings were done by ex-military vs. non-military.

I always assumed those fliers were for street canvassing jobs. I work near a university and just to get home from work I have to walk through a gauntlet of canvassers. I don't understand the people who stop to talk to them—if you're interested in helping planned parenthood or whatever, why don't you just look them up

He's a little rough live but within the confines of the studio he killed it on a lot of songs. I love his vocals on Pigs (Three Different Ones). Vicious.
