Obvious hyperbole for effect. It definitely feels like every positive review of it I've read has had some variation of "meeting it halfway" or "playing it on its terms" or whatever.

Hate the Yankees, but I did like Bobby Murcer.

I hate the Yankees, but I do like Kaat, Ken Singleton, and Paul O'Neil in the booth. Most of the rest of the rotating dozen (or however many there are) in the booth are pretty bad, though.

That sounds absurdly unscientific.

I just googled "rape articles" and am now educated on the subject. Thanks!

I like Remy. As bad as his son's troubles are, and whatever failures as a parent led to them, it doesn't affect my enjoyment of a game.

What is his commentary on Cuba? A search for vin scully cuba doesn't lead to anything much. Apparently nobody else has thought to make a fuss about it.

I've always found Reynolds to be very likable, and he was one of my favorites on BBTN, but his complaining about modern stats and lack of small ball or whatever have worn even me down a bit. I don't get why he's hated, either, though.

I refuse to accept "dece" as an actual thing anybody says or types.

As opposed to dying of starvation or getting eaten alive in the wild, I guess.

if I remember correctly, David Gilmour was reluctant to go disco on Another Brick in the Wall Part 2, but agreed to it anyway at the the urging of one of the producers.

Well, yes… It's kind of interesting that an A-list celebrity has an active social media account that's followed by almost no one.

You misunderstand, that's mostly my point. Not that I'm going to base my purchases on a game's development budget, but obviously a game like GTA5 with over a thousand people working on it is astronomically more expensive to produce and thus it probably requires at least a $60 price tag (not that this guarantees it's

She wrote "How to be a flake and still have friends" which was maybe the worst article in the entire Senior Week, which is saying a lot, and kind of outed her as a bad person.

According to Wikipedia—which has an entire page on the development of GTA5—the core team was 360 people, with the full team consisting of over 1,000 people. It took them 5+ years to develop it, NMS took less than 3.

I haven't played it, but early interviews definitely gave the impression of it being more "space simmy" than it actually is (e.g. planets actually orbiting a sun, etc.). Apparently flying your ship is much more automated as well?

Isn't the development team 4 people? It's the same price as GTA5 which had the longest credits sequence I've ever seen in any medium. It kind of makes me wonder if the NMS developers are all now multi-millionaires, or if GTA5 was barely profitable given the sheer number of people who had to get paid for working on it.

He pretty obviously knows enough about a variety of scientific topics to make thoughtful arguments with laymen.

Huh, I would have expected to see it on Deadspin (or at least cross-linked there, or maybe I missed the cross link) since it's Olympic related. Part of me isn't surprised they rushed to the defense of such a shitty article, part of me is that they're still doubling down about their own precious article getting
