Well, yes, probably so. And some people would have been pissed at him. However, the calls for his head may have been somewhat more muted if his film had opened huge.

Does anyone else suspect that if Tower Heist had had a gangbusters opening weekend, Ratner and Murphy would still be doing the Oscars? Their movie — expensive, star-studded, and seemingly guaranteed to succeed — was humbled by a cartoon cat movie in its second weekend of release. Hollywood loves box-office winners,

I like the opening titles of The Rifleman. I have no particular fascination with guns, and I don't think I've ever made it through an entire episode of the show, but goddam — THAT is how you open a motherfucking TV series. KAPOW KAPOW KAPOW KAPOW KAPOW KAPOW!

Straw Dogs.

I like Robyn Hitchcock. Yes I do.

I like Roman Polanski.

I like Mel Gibson. I approve of this.

#2 would be better if half its running time weren't filled with Marty *almost* getting his hands on that sports almanac, only to have it snatched away. That shit wears out its welcome pretty fast.

If nothing else, it's a good reason to watch the

I like The Killing.

I think he was the bass player in L.A. Guns.

I like R.E.O. Speedwagon.

I liked Studio 60. And that episode was, indeed, quite affecting.
