I completely agree with you about that scene with Don and Betty, Danus. The accusations from both sides were fair. For me, though, the thing about Don vs. Betty is that, while they are both very selfish, Don does what it takes to get the things he wants. Betty demands that people give them to her, and then whines

I don't think Betty would work as a political trophy wife if she was divorced. Looked at from the point of view of that time period, she would have left a perfect husband and three children. She'd be more a liability than an asset to a politician.
