"I Love Movies" was firmly established before "Comedy Bang Bang."  I'm too lazy to look up whether Mr. Benson had already changed the name to "Doug Loves Movies" at that point.

The "Babe, I'm on Fire" video is deranged in a very Nick Cave, literal manner.  It's even better than ironic booty shaking:

What's the most beautiful/gorgeous Nick Cave song?

Abbatoir Blues/Lyre of Oprheus is my favorite Seeds album and also the
one i'd recommend as being both the most accessible and a good
representation of the Seeds catalog.  It also has my favorite song,
"There She Goes, My Beautiful World" and another classic in
"Breathless."

That was my favorite song from 2010.

"Bring It On" is in my Top 10 overall by any artist.   It's second or third by Nick Cave, with "There She Goes, My Beautiful World" probably my overall  #1.

Okay, people, list your other SNL flavors:

Definitely listen to more episodes of SPY. The most recent one, with Adam Lisagor and Scott Simpson from You Look Nice Today, is particularly strong. Even though you may not have heard of most of the guests, which i hadn't either, 90+% of them are funny, some outright hilarious.

Danielle Koenig - The Mental Illness Happy Hour
I'm incapable of articulating how much i appreciated Danielle's appearance on Mental Illness Happy Hour. I honestly learned a lot about the human condition and what things might look like from another's perspective. She's amazingly open, honest, and introspective.

Agreed. The Long Shot isn't as consistently good as Never Not Funny or Jordan, Jesse Go!, but i really enjoyed this one since Myq is delightful.

Even back when it was a very occasional segment JJGo!, they had trouble getting litigants. At the first MaxFunCon, the JJH with the father (Darryl from NeverNotNotes.com) and daughter debating about the concept of "our money" vs. "dad's money" was done out of desperation because no one else would volunteer a case.

Video Falconry Strategy Guide
Part of the inspiration for the the Video Falconry video game came from this hilarious, inspired George Plimpton's Video Falconry Strategy Guide and Walkthrough:

On Carolla's podcast, McHale made fun of Pardo for being short and for being disgusted by the cooking of meat (it recorded at a BBQ grill), and wouldn't give it a rest. He also didn't let Pardo talk much. Carolla's fans also ripped into Pardo on the message boards.

The Beatles episode was a casting issue, because John and Jesse have both met Pat multiple times before and he's precisely like that in real life. I'm Facebook friends with Pat and i ended up debating this very topic six months ago, getting two comments in before i decided i had much better uses of my time.

Adam Scott and Jon Hamm are extremely charming and would work well with everyone. Jon and Doug regularly play poker together, so that assists their chemistry. Adam might play in that game, too. Jon and Bill Simmons have done podcasts in the past and were (are?) in the same fantasy league together, so they usually

My flurry of podcast appearances this week
I somehow weaseled my way onto three podcasts this week, while being referred to on a fourth. I thought there was a tiny chance i'd be mentioned in this column, but nope.

The Last Night of Winter
Of those that i've heard, the only song of hers that i strongly like is "The Last Night of Winter" off of Manzanita. To me, that song definitely gives off a Joni Mitchell/Judy Collins early 70s soft rock vibe, though i like it more than anything by them.

Can We Start Again?
I adore "Can We Start Again?":

I loved that Todd did the fake reviews. The Old West one in particular was spot on. I started to deconstruct how many levels of meta Todd's fake reviews were before i began uroborosing myself and gave up.

Claire Zulkey interviews Jordan Morris
If, like me, you enjoy both Claire Zulkey and Jordan Morris, you're sure to enjoy both of them together:
