I saw the reveal coming, but missed where they would go with it. I was thinking that it had something to do with his stress levels and thinly concealed resentment of his own family.

Agreed. I like hot sailors.
Hasn't this argument been thoroughly retired? On this site especially?
"Precocious kids pretending to be drunk" has never gotten a lot of mileage with me in most any context. This instance seemed to be particularly hamfisted. I'm not sure why it needed to exist beyond padding.
Honestly, I hardly watch anymore except out of curiosity when I have a little extra time to spare.
You know full well what I mean. Quit being obtuse.
Quagmire's dislike of Brian worked a lot better before they decided to turn him into a full blown rapist. The show has a lot of very weird, disgusting nastiness these days. Perhaps most offensively, they can't even mine the absurd boundary pushing for laughs.
My theory is that it is best to discuss politics (if both people are genuinely interested) in a personal way.
The loss of the timeless quality of the older episodes is probably as large a factor as any in explaining this show's meltdown.
The banners plus Mr. Bergstrom seemed to be the writers clearly conceding and just saying, "Oh, fuck it. Remember these moments from when the show was good?"
I don't watch much Zombie Simpsons these days, but this one struck me as particularly bad. Every single premise and joke was like being beaten over the head with a shovel.
Fair comment. I would also accept Jean-Ralphio's sister after about two appearances.
"That's a hotel."

I never understood what her relationship was to the Parks Department. It seemed like she still had some sort of authoritative role there, despite being a councilor and not a parks employee.
Why would a city council viciously opposed to Knope (with the backing of the electorate) vote to make her husband the most powerful man in administration?
I loved the hard 100 word count conversation limit.
I challenge the seven people who have down voted you to present an alternative.
I really didn't like Ben leaving them again at all. It's almost becoming mean spirited.
"Of course! The Maverick should be able to trade lumber for agricultural credits!"
