Heh, guess I'm just disagreeing left, right and center with you tonight. Margulies is fine on "The Good Wife" but she is a touch too comatose and wooden most of the time on it.

I disagree. While I think the Mellie and Cyrus speeches are fun, Young's portrayal of Mellie comes off rather one-dimensional and especially over-the-top. To me, Washington plays conflicted and contradictory perfectly, she grounds the character, and in turn, grounds the show as a whole ( well as grounded as Scandal

I'm sure you know this and it's just a typo, but it's Tony Goldwyn not Goldman.

That's disappointing to hear. I quite looked forward to reading your analysis after each episode and reading the discussions.

As far as cases of the week go, this is probably the best one yet. It was a refreshing change of pace from the usual political sex scandals, not that those aren't enjoyable, it's just that we have a elephant-sized political sex scandal woven into the fabric of the show so it gets tiresome when the cases of the week

To be quite frank, I was rolling my eyes when I found out that the case of the week was another sex scandal. I mean, we already had one of those last week. Boy was I wrong, this episode completely blew me way with how well the writers set up the case of the week to parallel and interact with the ongoing "Olivia Pope

I feel the same way, it's a refreshing change of pace from other gay TV show characters and It's something SR does that I think she doesn't get nearly enough credit for.

I really hope not because I love their antagonistic but friendly relationship, hope it doesn`t devolve into some weird workplace romance. Is it still esidual resentment from Ghost? I have a couple of friends who still can`t get over the fact that he killed Swayze. Personally, I love their forbidden love compelling

Monica Lewinsky was a client of Judy Smith, the woman who serves as the inspiration for this show. So I`m sure it`s inspired in more ways than one by Monica Lewinsky.

I think Shonda mentioned in an interview that her and the rest of the writers prefer shorter self contained story arcs. It`ll be interesting to see how that plays out if the show is picked up for an additional 9 episodes though.
