Wow, what an irascible old man. Great interview. Not quite sure i got why the studios are trying to get rid of  35mm. Is it just because it takes up too much space? I couldn't figure out if that was a real thing or if we were seeing senilities grasping fingers.

no i haven't seen it, thanks for the recommendation. but apparently yukio mishima's actual seppuku must have been worse. the guy who was supposed to cut off his head botched the job so bad he had to commit suicide himself afterward.

my toes curled and i literally had to look away from the screen during that sceen. that being said miike's films don't usually get a gut reaction like that from me, but i had to turn off antichrist pretty early on.
