Late to the party. I double binged watched the whole first season with my 14 year old daughter (which is to say we watched every episode at least twice). She has not seen any of the source documentaries. I've seen them all. We both enjoyed the hell out of the entire season, and now she wants to watch all of the

I would call it an appropriately gentle swipe.

Took a break from my four book series on pre-conquest Britain (so everything before 1066) to read a history of the 14th century, which focuses mostly on France, Tuchman's "A Distant Mirror". The 14th was a pretty sucky century for France. Slow going, and could use more plague, but pretty interesting. Not a big fan of

At least he's in this, A LOT.

I remember watching this with my then boyfriend/now husband. Movie ends, he says, "wait, what about that other guy?" I reply with a "you're kidding, right?" look. He says "oh, oh yeah, it's the same guy."

Two was not light, not at all.

"Do you understand what it means to have a child?" "I do."

So he's an idiot and kind of a tool, but it seems as though through his distorted drunk-goggles, the events that actually unfolded could very reasonably be interpreted as an armed robbery, albeit one that followed close on the heels of him peeing on a wall and pulling down a poster. They did sit on a curb, guns were

I am so glad I am not the only to notice that.

I guess the determination of whether it is a waste of money has to do with what the money would be spent on otherwise. It's like when my banker wanted me to take a 30 year mortgage instead of a 15 year, pointing out I could invest the monthly savings, but I knew I would just spend it. I doubt the money saved from

I love watching the Olympics. I'm a med school professor. Watching these athletes specialized to an extreme degree for these different sports is fascinating to me. Also, they are just beautiful, at rest, in motion, whenever. "What a piece of work is man," etc. It's actually one of the only things we watch on TV.

I have a cat now who has learned to open the cabinet doors in front of the sock drawer, then repeatedly jump up, pulling the drawer out a bit more each time. He then just curls up in the drawer for a nap. I thought my husband was leaving the drawer open, and then I saw the cat go though this series of maneuvers.

Bored tabby has had enough of your BS.

Jack is a local swimmer who I have been watching swim since he was 13. (His summer swim team competes against my daughter's team.) We were so excited he made the Olympic team. He's a nice kid. This just sucks.

Perhaps the Biochemist needs a a ghost writer to liven up her dry, scientific style.

Is there good money to be made writing about one's cats? I had a cat that attacked a seeing eye dog and had to see a shrink, and another that used to carry around socks at night because she missed her kittens, and many, many more. When I sold my last house, there were six cats buried in the yard (all died of natural

I think we can be confident that she won't be turning to the stands to point out the men responsible for the medals won by female athletes, or identifying female athletes based on which NFL player they are married to. Kudos NBC. Your coverage can't get any worse, and this will almost certainly make it better.

A mixed race grandchild is the PERFECT accessory for a woman in my position.

That's a comedy show. they also post fake and exaggerated "news", because it's a comedy show.
