I've seen a lot of comments about how the show isn't realistic. How can an old man lift a totem pole? How can people move between different states so fast? None of that stuff has ever bothered me, the almost surreal nightmare aspect is actually one of my favourite things about the show, and I hope Fuller and co will

It's hard to judge tone in writing, but I though fuller was being (a little) tongue in cheek when he said that. He points out that he thinks Hannibal is great at what he does but he also says that he's perverse and that patients Hannibal deem unsuitable for society doesn't stand much of a chance.

Yes, the show is great at grotesque stuff but those freaky breaks from reality were just as scary. The sound effect when raven-stag creature showed up is the stuff nightmares are made of.

Spot on with the Bond villain comment. I'm glad they decided to get rid of the extra finger from the books. With great actors like Cox, Hopkins and now Mikkelsen, it's not needed.
And in Mikkelsen's case  the Bond association really isn't needed.

Michael Rapaport was amusing.

Yeah, that's a better way to put it.

I like some of the so-called lesser Allen. Mighty Aphrodite, Manhattan Murder Mysteries and some others.

They apparently shoot with a digital camera called Arriflex Alexa.

I don't think I've ever heard about heteronormativity before. You live and learn.

I agree that knowing what's going to happen is a huge part of the shows appeal (all the food stuff wouldn't be funny if you didn't know anything about Lecter), but at the same time I think there are surprises to be found. Knowing where the characters end up years in the future isn't the same as knowing what will

Ah, okay. Thanks a lot. It'll probably take me quite a while to get used to it, but at least now I know what's going on.

I know the feeling, but I try to fight those urges because there's nothing better than to see a great story unfold. Glad to hear that you skipped a few parts because I wasn't kidding about the spoilers. Hope you missed out on the big one. If you didn't, it's still a great show. I should know, I've seen some episodes

I wouldn't recommend reading these because there's already some spoilers. But I'm a spoiler wuss so take it with a grain of salt.

I was only sort of kidding. Figured I had actually missed something.

All these years later I'm still bummed out about it.

I know Thompson is gay yet I still didn't think Price was gay.

Why do you assume Price and Zeller are a couple?

I presume magic is involved.

This wasn't a completely terrible show, despite the guitar and the color scheme, but I really only watched it because of Jennifer Love Hewitt. Or at least that's why I got into it. I'm sure after a while the soapy aspects worked their magic on me.

It's an amazing show and I'm ridiculously glad you're doing this walkthrough.
