Any chord sequence that features two plagal-like reverse circle progressions can't be all bad.

So I'm getting the vibe that you're not a fan of Jane Austen…

The Steely Dan thing was weird, yeah.

I dunno, I went and saw it in theaters, thought it was mildly funny but a bit drab, and it didn't make much of an impression on me. Evidently I missed out an appreciating a near-masterpiece.

Maybe I'm bourgeoise, but I really like this list, and a good 75% of the stuff I voted for made it. Yay!

How did Herb feel about this?

Sorry, Malingerer, it just means you don't know much about the subject.

Well the streaming isn't showing the commercials, so fuck this.

You only needed the first 4 words of this headline.

"It's so weird having Desi Arnaz introduce this show."

Get a hold of yourselves!

Y'all are getting a little thrill by posting the name of that routine, aren't you? Admit it, fuckheads.

Both funny.

The first one - gay guy to straight woman.

I gotta say, I really enjoyed Rat Race. Sorry, but it was just so much funnier than most shit hollywood comedies.

This also describes my life.

Hmm… normally in these movie montages I've seen about 20-30% of the films and don't recognize a good half. With this one I've seen at least 70% of the movies and recognized almost all of them. I wonder what that means? Are the movies saying "fuck you" to me?

As the brother of a fabulous gay kid who's about to undergo an m-to-f transition, I can wholeheartedly avow that all three of us were raised the same way, and he just turned out the way he is. Nothing "happened".

Normally I'm not a big fan of Pitchfork reviews, but I think that Zoladz does a perfect job of summing up the (lyrical) problems of this album. Rarely am I convinced that music is "bad" because of a bad review (Pitchfork hates lots of music I like) but this article was unusually eloquent.

Best Pictures or it didn't happen.
