Seems like an odd promotional/marketing decision to be promising a tour in October…only 9 months AFTER her record came out??  Did they forget what month this is?  I can't imagine any band that released a debut album in this day and age waiting 9 full months to tour.  Seems…really weird.  When i read the part about

I'm guessing "Brian" is Brian Warner, aka Marilyn Manson.

Even though i've only seen one episode, my problem with it is the same i have for Boardwalk Empire: everyone's ACTING!!!!!!!!!!!!

"The recipe for Deen’s English Peas is roughly this: Drain a can of peas, add half a stick of butter, heat on the stove, and serve with middle finger raised in the air."

i have nothing to add to this discussion besides "this is the worst piece of shit article i have ever read."

cool rock and roll train, bros

No mention of Doug Gillard joining on guitar for this record?  Some of these solos rule.

Wow!  AVclub talking junk.  I like it.

DUDE…..no CAVE ZONE?

having grown up with Pat, I will say he is one of the funniest dudes i have ever met in my life.  I will also say he doesn't often come off too great in interviews.

Wow…AV Club ain't taking no shit in 2012.  More F's and D's in the past 2 weeks than in all of 2011, i think.

i definitely wasn't advocating NOT teaching math…i was just very bad at it in High School, so being forced to take geometry and calculus did nothing but destroy my self-esteem, and i had a hard time accepting why i had to learn them if i knew i was never going to need them.  However, i also realize that when i was in

How terrible is it that i kind of agree with him on his ideas of teaching math in high school?  That i agree teaching money management is more important than geometry/calculus?  I'm frightened, guys.

yeah, the Death of Samantha show was nuts.  At some point, fairly late in the show, they turned on a bubble machine which stayed on for what seemed like 30 minutes, pretty much coating the floor in bubble solution.  Needless to say, bubble solution + lot so booze = lots of people falling all over the place.

i've had the honor of getting to know Doug a bit (and even playing with him on occassion), and the dude is one of the most ridiculous guitarist i have ever seen.  His solo discs Salamander and Call From Restricted are totally worth finding.

This record is so good!

I mean, it's one thing to put out a record and suddenly blow the hell up.  But no matter how many times it happens, any artist/band that gets talked about all the time without even officially releasing anything feels to me like a really good publicist and manager, not necessarily music.  I realize music leaks out and

well, i totally enjoy Vampire Weekend, and they were on the cover of Spin 2 weeks before their record even came out, so I'm guilty of eating hype, too.  Sleigh Bells can suck it though.

The only music i listen to is made by people who regularly appear on blogs before their record is even released.  That shit always stands the test of time.

Wait…Leelee Sobieski is still in movies?  Holy crap.
