I find it surprising that they didn't give Unique a solo number. If the writers are going to have a Mercedes-replacement, you'd think they would use her on the one week she'd be the most effective.

As soon as Rachel lost (which, in what real-life situation would Rachel lose to Kurt in a SINGING competition?), I knew it was going to be all about cheering Rachel up. You would think that by now she would be able to take a loss in stride, instead of huddling into corners whenever she gets served some humble pie.

I was surprised that their PTO approved songs that had lines like "your sex takes me to paradise" and "sits on his broke-ass".

We see what happened with the winners from season one of TGP, with Rory gone until next half of the season and Teen Jesus as basically an extra these days. I cringe anytime he uses a Christianity line, just because it seems so unauthentic.

Oh I  thought they pulled her from the musical only and just restricted when she could dress like a woman.

I agree about that AWFUL "Dark Side" cover! You can't cover a powerhouse like Kelly Clarkson without being a powerhouse vocalist yourself. And even with the song transposed down several keys, Darren Criss was not doing it justice.

I also have to give the writers credit, because once they mentioned that Jake was mixed at the beginning of the season, I was absolutely convinced that they'd never mention it again.

I'm glad that I wasn't the only one who noticed that Unique wasn't in this episode. Weren't she and Marley best friends a few episodes ago? It is too bad that the writers don't have Unique taking Marley's back against Kitty and this foolish bulimia storyline.

It makes you wonder if there will ever be a non-white lead for the McKinley High Glee Club. I also wonder if Glee will ever have a character to show young Fox watchers that black men come in more styles than just the following:
