This is probably because the hits on '21' transcended barriers, to the point where people of all ages/cultures/whathaveyou know the songs. When's the last time a Bieber or a Beyonce managed multiple songs on one album that blew up in the way the singles on '21' did? This isn't me criticizing those artists, but a

We deserve better! Much much better.

A few of his recent singles have been decent, but that's largely due to the production by Diplo and Skrillex (ugh). Bieber's still a megadouche, and brings nothing noteworthy to the table IMO.

This is giving me all the life I need right now!! Okay I've been watching too much RuPaul's Drag Race…but I'm so happy she's officially back!

I think Chappie was his second chance…and then Die Antwoord happened, so yeah…

Prometheus had a ton of problems, but I don't think "visually forgettable" is one of those. In fact its visuals are one of the sole highlights, in my opinion. The Prometheus spacecraft, the engineers, the giant God-head thing, the surgery scene, the alien spacecraft landing on that dummy Charlize Theron…

I thought Duvall brought some kind of awkward energy to her performance. And yeah she was irritating, constantly butting in with her damn sandwiches and whatnot, but that just helps sell the fact that Jack would want to take an axe to her face. To me at least.

The film version is Kubrick's interpretation, and not intended as some kind of comment on King's writing skills or popularity. Unless I'm missing something.

I really wanted to like this film. Even though I had glanced at some of the reviews that suggested it's a case of style over substance, (and I won't hate on the style because it's impeccable), the story is just so utterly lacking. I don't think there's a single del Toro film that I didn't like, including Mimic, but

I think they made a pretty good name for themselves, to the point where artists like Prince and Dr Dre wanted to work with them.

Wind It Up was ahead of its time :)

I love No Doubt, they always seem like they were having so much fun making and playing their music. Tragic Kingdom is a total guilty pleasure.

Yes, there shouldn't be some quota system in place that means x amount of women should be directing these types of movies.

I think the point is that women directors get considered to direct them, as opposed to being dismissed outright. It's not that the gender makes the movie better or worse, just that they can be considered at all.
