In all honesty as this election approaches I am alarmed by how many frequent commenters on the avclub think everything would be great if only the government ran everything, right down to how one wipes their own arse.

I think the boat scene in TDK is that while people can be fundamentally good, it takes the right leadership to forge ahead with the tough decisions, as the outcomes of both ships were up in the air until someone stepped forward to claim responsibilty (Prisoner throws trigger out the window, Civvie changes his mind…

Serialized Television has a far greater capacity to anger me, because of the time investment. Misspending 10 bucks on a bad movie is nothing to wasting dozens of hours to television shows that ultimately dissapoint in their resolutions (X-Files, LOST).
I like to laugh at bad movies, I went with a girl who paid for my ticket. That's when.

Maybe Nolan wanted to go there, but the fact that Warner Bros is already planning the reboot/whatever in a couple years they don't want people thinking of Bruce Wayne as a dead character.
I thought the same exact thing, The World is Not Enough came immediately to mind as the twist was happening, even with the bald, scarred guy who is impervious to pain.

You guys see Wolfen? They filmed it down here. You know, the movie about
those gigantic wolves that come out at night. They eat people and rip
their guts open, man, got kinda shit hangin' out of their mouths and
stuff. And they would live for an hour or so, just lay there twitching
and stuff. They filmed it here…

In all fairness, I just checked and it IS a paperback. a Signet that has a blue and black cover, the style the paperbacks of his books were in the 90's. I notice that paperbacks tend to add about 10 to 15% to the page count, so the hardcover was maybe say just under 300 pages somewhere down there.

This is Stephen King related though not Bachman related just wanted a fresh place to put this down: I believe IT(1986) to be the definitive Baby Boomer Horror Novel. It's as if King was watching The Big Chill one night and decided what it was missing was a monster that ate children.

Really the idea that there really were lives at stake as far as children were concerned really spoke to the 11 year old me who saw this. It also helped that I was about to finish 5th grade and was 11 just like the kids in the flashbacks were. The shower scene where Pennywise comes out of the grate and tells Eddie…
