There was a scene in an early issue of Morrison's JLA where he had planned to write red-and-blue Supes wrestling an angel. The scene made it into the issue-but with electric Superman (who had NO Super-strength) instead. An iconic moment wasted, IMHO.

link to a listing? I'd buy that for a toonie.
I'm Canadian, fuckers!!

Could you do a feature  on Mute and the Just Say… series? that would be great. K thx gbye

Fag Hag rules

I would have liked you to have asked about Butterfly-the movie he did with Pia Zadora…

I put a link to "Under your Spell" on Facebook  as a secret message to a girl I was having an affair with who loved the movie. It's a great soundtrack.

The thing about Zig Zags is that in terms of brand recognition-they are untouchable. Think about it-my cousin has a tattoo of the Zig Zag man on his shoulder-so everyone knows what he's into. I had to buy my brother a pack of Zig Zags on Xmas day and me and the 7-11 clerk had a good discussion about who the Zig Zag

The Rockford Files theme is the shit-has it ever been sampled? If not-why not?
PS I'm white.

Fats Domino…
Chubby Checker…
Obese Chess Piece?

I thought maybe Raylan had lost his own foot last season-which I still need to watch.

ANY FUCKING A.V. COMICS PANEL THAT DOESN'T TALK ABOUT THE LATEST ISSUE OF BKV AND FS' SAGA IS WORTHLESS. THIS ARTICLE WAS A WASTE OF MY SCROLL WHEEL.

I had this movie poster when I was a teenager-I wish I still had it. Wasn't Garret Morris in this? He played some Famous Amos type dude.

Really? I once saw a Mary Kay bumper sticker and thought of the KKK and also thought- "That would be a great AV Club name-a parody mashup of pop culture and insouciance."

Someone objective needs to write the definitive KISS biography. I really enjoyed KISS and Sell and thought that the Peter Criss one was pretty good-but Ace's was kinda boring. Anything Gene has his hand in is sanitized and self-serving. There was a Beatles biography by Bob Spitz that I thought was very well

You can say what you want…but every time "New York Groove" comes up on my ipod-my 2008 Golf magically transforms into a stretch limo and 70's black chicks with huge afros snort blow off my erect penis.

It was truly sad how Mantlo ended up-hit and run while rollerblading. And as much as the 40 year-old-me shakes my head at some of his writing on Alpha Flight, the 14-year old me was thrilled-even though the body count was often ridiculously high.

Ummm, long time Evan Dorkin fan (I have Pirate Corp$ when it was published by Eternity Comics, yo!) and I have to put this out there-Dork! got seriously depressing by the end, when Evan was being pretty candid about depression and self-hatred…which to me made no sense, but that's depression for you. Glad to see new

Asking a question about the late John Candy was probably the best part of this RR-he's about due for an article.

CYOA books were great-but I really loved the Fighting Fantasy books-Warlock of Firetop Mountain was the first and to me the best. I also enjoyed the hell out of the Three Investigators-wasn't Alfred Hitchcock their patron or something? Those books deserve a Memory Wipe.

They were fun to play with.
