@warrien: The DPs job entails a lot of things, and if he felt that something was going wrong or needed to be changed during a take while the camera's are rolling, I would trust that his judgement in the matter was sound. By adjusting that light, he could have saved the take and in doing so saved the production lost…

I understand that there is a "human decency" argument going on here, but that is besides the point.
