I have to admit, I would've been much happier if the note at the end had alluded to Peter's extracurricular activities from last week's episode, rather than to the love triangle.

Maybe he repeated more than one grade?

I thought…
that the drunk!Shirley photos were a callback to the running gag from the first season commentary where Dan Harmon and Joel McHale would talk about what a drunk Yvette Nicole Brown was.

I've always been pulling for Chuck's latest intersect upgrade/erasure to remove a chunk of his memory. Penultimate episode of season 2, I was hoping he'd come around in the back seat and not recognize anyone. The closest the show has come is with the mental hospital/the Governor bit at the end of Season 3, but…

Hm.
Maybe I'm giving the costume department too much credit, but did anyone else think they were deliberately playing up the Sarah/Frost parallels? Yvonne Strahovski had on so much iridescent, icy eye makeup that it couldn't possibly be coincidental.

Let's not forget that he also got to do Shirley.

I'm actually rather glad that they got Doc Potterywood for that part. Originally they'd slated Patton Oswalt's character for that role, and I just don't think it would've been as fun.

You've gotta drink a lot of mercury to stay in the same shape for five years. Newton's been in the same body for at least a year, IIRC. Or however long he was in our universe before his head was frozen.
