It depends on what type of facility you are working in but RNs at an extended care unit usually are in a more supervisory role. Somewhat. But a pretty large percentage of the script is still straight from the UK version. I'd say the biggest distinction at this point is that Dr. Jenna is considerably more harsh than her UK counterpart.

Do kids watch reruns nowadays, though? I grew up on a steady diet of classic 50s-70s tv reruns but that was in the 80s and early 90s when TV choices were limited and there was no internet or much of any other alternative.

I don't know if the writers ever saw this Mr. Show sketch but it certainly seemed a little inspired by it to down to the car alarms going off and the two Lincolns too many.
