Nightboat!  The crime SOLVING boat !

I figured that was Gillian's hometown, and she didn't want to be recognized.  If she remembered that that is where Fake-Jimmy was from, I'd be surprised.  Also, then a minute later, here comes Fake-Jimmy's friend, also from that same town?   If Livingston is a cop/PI, and this is all a setup, then maybe.  But why

agreed to all.

How long was Gillian on the nod in the bathroom.  Livingston is annoyed and has smoked at least one cigarette.  and the ice cream is long melted.  20 minutes?  an hour?

great callback to the mango(?) slicing in the opening scene.  Also, great how while he's on the phone, you assume that Tucker has injured him/cut off his fingers, or something.  I didn't put together why he was talking so slow and weird, until the showed the sliced head.

I hope he set her up with a nice fat TDAMERITRADE annuity with all his L+O money.

But MIckey owned in those scenes, so that was something cool.  The college dance shit was a little weak.  But either Eli's kid, or the cute co-ed, is gonna get killed.  So that'll be something.

@Juan_Carlo:disqus You've gotta adjust your pace and expectations with this show.  Try to just enjoy the world they have created, and spending time with the characters.  This is not a relentless forward rush through plot points, like BB.  This is a slow tour through the lives of a bunch of sad and lonely people.  I

Livingston is a great addition, though.  He fits the period and wears the hat quite nicely.  I liked their chemistry.  Gillian is just another sad character who had a bad childhood or had their innocence stolen (or both.)   see also:  Nucky, Eli, Richard, et al.

right, I wanted him to yell "She'll never give YOU a boner, dickhead!"  but, in clever 20s speak, of course.

true, but that's the easy/obvious path.  I like that we are getting a diverse (albeit all bad guys) view of life at that time.  It richens the world a ton.  If we only every kept everybody together in AC bootlegging, we would never get a sense of the 'real' world they live in.  Seeing the slow, quiet farm, gentile but

That might be true, but goddamn, I could just watch him stalk around and grunt and do that 'mouth-grimace' thing.  He really is one of the strangest and most compelling, and sad characters I've ever seen.
When he took the mask off and leaned back into the light, man that was heartbreaking.  When he got his hug from

remind me, is Dunn the one that was mad-dogging Chalky in jail, and Chalky beat the living shit out of him, causing those scars?

Agreed.  I say this every week, I just love spending time in this sumptuous world.  I don't care how slow it moves, I find every scene beautiful to look at.  This and Hannibal are the best on TV for cinematography, lighting, set design, art direction, etc.

snuh.

Can't fight the Seether.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmarge !!
        lllllllllliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisa !

so we're agreed.  We each get two caramel apples during the negotiations.   Alllright.  One candy and one caramel.

so help me, I'll boot him good !

don't.  praise.  the.  machine!
