Yep.  It's fun, funny, and just the right level of sweetness.  I'm surprised by how much I like these characters.  So…is it getting canceled?

Also note-worthy that this group of townspeople, described by Scott as "small town" "Deep South" and "conservative," which I'm guessing are not compliments, blur the truth in the favor of the not-deer-hunting type.

Yeah, I mostly agree.  I wanted to fast forward through the parts about the football team and the writer, and just hear about the governor, the riots, and Meredith.  Loved his statements.

I don't know man, it was killing me — especially when he was on stage with the old football players during the reunion.  I couldn't take him seriously.

This is dumb, but my entire memory of the movie is colored by the horror of the story of his mother's paralysis.  I know its just a plot point, but I couldn't enjoy the quirky in light of that.  Was that the point?

It was a fantastic mustache.  But isn't he like 10 years out of college?  Did guys have ironic mustaches in 2002?  That seems unlikely for Nick.

Yeah, I thought it was one of the show's weaker episodes, but maybe that's because I usually love them.  Kinda just spelled out explicitly the tensions between Nick/Schmidt and Jess/Cece that are always there.  And the end result with Jess just stumbling around and concluding the modeling is really hard?  Too boring…
