I like these guys well enough, I guess, but am more looking forward to the new Frightened Rabbit album.

Filler?  Yes.  Though it kept the audience interested.  But I wouldn't say the message is diluted or defanged.  It's pretty much hammered home heavily, especially through the first 15 minutes and the last.
