I totally agree - I think Alan Ball is the real problem of the show and for him to step away would probably be the best thing for it. The show is almost unrecognisable from season one and has become a silly soap opera under his direction.

And just a side note: PLEASE GOD let them fix their SFX issues! If Game of Thrones can do it, surely they could spend more than 50c per season on TB's. This is a supernatural show with SFX being integral  and essential. Sookie's burning ring of fire in Moon Goddess - I could have done better with some clear cellophane…
