I was broaching that more in the context of parents deciding such and such movie is harmful for kids in general based on a vague notion of "child psychology" that they learned about from some wikipedia article or cnn thinkpiece.

I think this was about as close to a flawless season of a TV show as I'm ever going to see.

I don't think childhood development has changed, I do think that there are more parents on the internet purporting to be experts on child psychology without the benefit of a formal education.
