But it IS why you're MRA's.

Yep, those are the rules.

by "shit" do you mean "whining", fuckboy?

Hi, just swinging by to mention that anyone who considers himself a "men's rights activist" is 100% without fail a fuckboy.

Didn't know your mom was Christian.

When is that thing opening? I know, I know, but I really don't know.

Just finished it a couple days ago! Are you on the TI board? It's the book club selection right now over there.

Sure, great point!

Hell yeah Zinn! It's a tough read though, I thought. There's so much, like, "And then 350 protesters showed up at such and such a place and got beat up" - because he's trying specifically to tell a story of The People, not particular people, there are few names or characters for you to identify with, and the long and

Yeah, right? It's super exciting, but it takes like 600 pages to get there. (I still love the book, but this is certainly true.)

Yeah, totally, lots of parallels! He's warning about big business taking over farms and destroying small farmers, and we didn't heed it, and then it happened and now it's done. I love this book.

Just finished this a couple days ago. Do you think McCarthy is speaking to us through Ed Tom Bell? I kinda thought he was, in which case that's pretty lame (Ed Tom is lame) - but a friend made a pretty strong argument that I'm a moron, and McCarthy was trying to portray Ed Tom as out of touch with his time and

Totally agree. I wasn't a huge fan of Less than Zero but I tried really hard (for some reason) to appreciate American Psycho and it worked.

I dug Ulysses and C&P! Although it took me like a year to decide about Ulysses.

Yeah, I didn't totally love it. sup @Jud@avclub-df106893a4574bccb7bce1ff66e788b9:disqus!

I'm reading this enormous book called The Novel: A Biography right now, and the author's comment on DFW (who he clearly doesn't care for) is that people mistake him for a novelist, whereas he's really an essayist who produced a couple of passable novels. I totally disagree, I dig Jest, but you have company.

I liked it a lot - I think it's Dickens' most grown-up work (of the fiveish I've read) - but it's pretty fuckin' long, too, and some of those pages are about lawyer stuff. It has some boring parts. But I dig it.

I was a tiny bit underwhelmed by it too. Good story, but…that's about it?

Dude, I loved Spy Who Came In etc. So much Cold War fun!

Not that hard.
