Forget the reviews, forget the hype, just listen. I liked Treats and I have seen Sleigh Bells live and yeah I like the whole persona they have. But regardless of that I've played this album 5 or 6 times and it just rocks. Put the blinders on and give it a listen :)

I agree and disagree. Pitchfork has certain artists that it loves, everyone knows it loves them, and they just keep maintaining the hype (Kanye, Girls, Animal Collective). But sometimes with new bands they like to destroy them on the sophomore despite their own hype. They just like messing with your head.
