I remember Click-Clacks. They were banned from classrooms because the noise drove teachers crazy. Centuries from now archeologists will dig them out of landfills and will have no earthly idea what they were used for.
The reason for this review is so the next time I'm at a flea market and see a table full of VHS tapes I'll know to avoid "Booby Hatch" and get "Humanoids of the Deep" instead. Thanks AV club, you saved me a dollar.
"I find you not gill-cup, and you may leave this courtroom a free man."
Capt Kirk, shuttle pilot
So why are Kirk and Spock gallivanting around in a shuttle? McCoy is there because its a medical emergency. The Captain and First mate have nothing else to do so they tagged along for the ride, right? Of course they're there because they're the main characters. Logically it should have been…
Hangover 2: Its a bloodmary morning, baby left me without warning sometime in the night.
Missed it by that much
Last week I predicted Land of the Lost would be #4 over the weekend. I was thinking #3 but come on, America's not that stupid.
A rope tied around his neck, genitals and Wrists. How do you tie up your own wrists? Sounds like he had help or was smoking some real crazy shit.
Big Audio Dynamite sampled The Good, the Bad and the Ugly in their song Medicine Show. "…may God have mercy on his soul. Proceed."
They didn't show a clip for technical reasons. Bronson and Eastwood would burn our monitors, bake CPUs and fry DSL connections. Its too much badass for the internet.
"Known as the Rat."
I remember watching this show back in the day. It was different, but I wondered if the writers had any idea where they were going with it. These guys aren't even trying. I'm guessing it will turn a profit though. What do you think, number 4 in its first weekend?
Shakespeare was about 42 when he died. He had retired and was living in Stratford. He had written his will and considered himself to be an old man.
Shakespeare's plays were aimed at a young audience. The majority of Londoners were 20 year old men. So, go ahead young people, have a go at Hamlet. Every generation…
@Gleeth Yurnix
Were you making a reference to Meret Oppenhein's Luncheon in Fur? That's what I thought about. This bicycle is not very DaDa is it.
They are not going to feed M&Ms to IES Chang. That's far too normal. If Chang were there they would be eating chocolate covered snake balls or some such shit. No wonder he left.
I'm amazed at the number of people who were terrified of the Dr Who theme music. I love it. Delia Derbyshire get fully geeked out and making music from found sounds and tape loops.
I just finished reading "Street Gang", a book about Sesame Street. Originally, there was going to be a strict boundary between the live action and the fantastic. The live parts test out as very boring, so they upped the role of the Muppets to make it interesting.
"In the Night Garden of Good and Evil"
Ah, Captain Kangaroo, the man who taught a generation how to be mellow. Mr. Rodgers tried but it just wasn't the same.
Is Jughead looking at Archie or is he looking at the ring. I mean, think of how many hamburgers you could buy with that kind of money.
