I generally hate AV Club game reviews because they go on about stuff that isn't relevant to value or gameplay, but instead get into interpretations that begin with ridiculous assertions such as declaring Halo was, at its heart, a love story.

Seriously, if there was ever an instance where not reviewng the games but reviewing the value was perfectly acceptable, perhaps even ideal, this is it.

I actually don't think EA would be afraid to "demonize" (perhaps literally?) the Madden franchise since they presently have a monopoly on NFL video games and Madden is so ridiculously popular it can put out minimal enhancements with each new installm ent and still sell big annually. If you want to play a videogame

For fun with posting in a wrong thread, see above…

"Iron" Will "Black" Smith vs. Mark "You For Death" Wahlberg "-ularize Your Soul"

Because you touch yourself at night!

Someone should make an adult version of an "audience participation program" just for kicks. The detective stops all the action to look dead at the camera and ask the viewers to help him find if the killer is lurking somewhere in the crime scene to admire their handiwork. Someone should at least make that a sketch and

Cosby Show Pilot?
I know the series isn't about "very special episodes," but the Cosboy show pilot actually turns the expectation established for V.S.E's on its head, hilariously and spectacularly. Theo delivers the "love me just for me" speech to excuse his bad grades, audience applauds. Cosby tells him that's the

When inevitably comes the horrific-yet-necessary Great Gimmick Poster Purge of 2011, Cookie Monster will be one of the few permitted—nay, encouraged—to survive and continue on his journey…

And who doesn't know by now that 2 or more fucks = automatic R? The MPAA are a bunch of mark ass busters and skip skap skanks and scallywags, but you already know the biz when you have your lead rattle off a series of f-bombs. No one should be surprised or alarmed here…

I'm going to be that asshole… if only for the moment…
So where is the Tolerability Index itself on the "Tolerability Index"? What's just beyond "Unbearable"? I hate being snarky internet commenter dude, I usually hate that guy and punch people in real life while pretending that they are that guy. But I don't feel too

"because he is not a rapper"

The Pierce thing keeps morphing into something different the more it gets referenced. People have already likened it erroneously to plagiarism. Now this. In four months the story will be that Pierce reviewed a comic book he actually wrote under a pseudonym and it turns out he stole the entire story and concept for the

"because George Clinton is awesome"
This is the answer to almost any "why" question in life that's worth asking…

I'm also in the category of having a soft spot for this flick. The Alistair Sim version is still my favorite (captures the whole "classic ghost story" vibe perfectly) but Scrooge with Finney (and Sir Alec Guiness as Marley!) is definitely second. It feels like the only version to show Scrooge actually longing for ol'

"A little more edge" =
The girl will now be 19-year-old vixen who speaks like a Kevin Smith and / or Joss Whedon character who dresses like her midriff and thighs are allergic to fabric. Not that I'm complaining too much about the wardrobe change, mind all…

Or an inFAMOUS knockoff… if knockoff is the right word… which I doubt for some reason.

On the sly…
Carrey might have had a point on the Elin thing. It just seems unlikely that the first time she catches him cheating, suddenly it's revealed that he has 92 side-chicks. Especially given how clumsy he was about it…

Very good installment…
Eric Dickerson should have his own show. He's just an entertaining storyteller. He has potential as the Charlie Murphy of college football stories…

You ever wonder what kind of hardcore madness is going to be on TV in 20-30 years that will make us seem like the out of touch elders to our kids? We're going to be talking about how "in my day, we had quality shows like Sons of Anarchy that mixed in a little plotting with the sex and violence and swearing. All you
