Antichrist Superstar actually has a lot of great stuff in it too, though Reznor had a prettty big hand in that album, so that's probably where some of that stuff comes from.

Yeah, I found myself wanting more dramatic tension as well, in Snuff. It never really felt like there was any moment at which he might fail. Still, it was a pretty nice change of pace for a Vimes novel, getting a little away from Ankh-Morpork a bit.

Heh, so replace "far-better" with "other, much-beloved-by-its-rabid-fans" instead. Your reboot is already going to be subject to merciless comparison, even if it does happen to be better, so why encourage it further by having the same actor in one of the main roles?

Not that i actually watched it, but I always thought the weirdest thing about it was keeping the same actor for Moss. I mean, sure, he's excellent in the role, but that is just madness. If you're gonna reboot something, fine, but don't give us a constant reminder of the far-better incarnation.

I actually clicked on this article expressly because I hoped that was the exact image that they'd create for the article. Bravo! Bravo.

Hm, 23 hours later there's nothing. Has the hivemind spoken by omission?

The key to being able to enjoy Twitter is to 1) only follow people whose tweets are of interest to you at least 95% of the time, and 2) never, ever look at the actual twitter webpage. It helps if you already have a persistant connection to IRC or something, and get a plugin to just export your twitter feed as if it…

… yes, I can see how that would be problematic.

Is that… really a complaint? You don't like the fact that there's an area for people who have seen a movie (or who don't mind plot being spoiled) to talk about it?

IMO that "first instance" would have made a huge difference, though. It DOES matter, because without showing us a legitimate reason for the time loop to have started, the whole thing could never have happened. The movie's canonical impetus for the creation of the time loop was contingent on the time loop's existance…
