Nah - the difference is that the cool fight scenes from The Matrix *remain* cool. The fight scenes from the second Matrix movie remain as lame as they were when the movie first came out. It's not that you're jaded by movies that "should" be awesome, it's that so many of those movies that should be awesome are

Yeah, I was disappointed as hell at how Sunshine turned out.  Don't try to position yourself as a smart sci-fi thriller if you're just going to devolve into the usual by-the-numbers horror movie dreck.  I've rarely felt as cheated by a movie as Sunshine.

Eh, so you're just far more willing to accept the movie's premise than I am, then.  I call bullshit on the "plane or loop" theory - it may be fun to run through that kind of paradox in a thought experiment, but IMO it doesn't make for good cinema.  Given a "linear" path that the guy was following through his life,

Yeah, I thought Timecrimes was terrible.  I might have suffered from a bit of inflated expectations, as I had heard so much good about it, and it was the closing movie at our local filmfest that year.  I've since forgotten enough about it that I don't really remember what most of my complaints were, though I do

Everyone else must have better facial recognition skills than I do - even knowing that it's W's likeness, it barely looks like him, to me.  Ah well…

Ah, yeah - me too.  "Finally, a character with some sense!" I remember myself saying at the time.  Alas!

Junior High would be rough with a name like "Peeta" though.

Good lord, did anyone else notice how much that guy sounds like Weird Al?

What I didn't like as much about Evelyn Evelyn was how serious/sad it ended up being.  I had been expecting a collection of silly little tunes sung from an unusual perspective, but the album left me feeling more depressed than anything.  I still do enjoy what silly songs there are, but I skip most of the album most of

To even it out a bit, I'll say that I'm rather fond of Amanda Palmer and have even contributed $25 to her latest Kickstarter.  There you go - unpopularize away!
