Bullshit. Patty was left a "MOTHER" too. The point was that the immoral pursuit of success might leave a person unfulfilled having sacrificed so much of themselves in the process.

Watched the last two episodes together and I have to say, the show remains at the top of the pile for me.

While watching Doug's story I couldn't help but think that Celia would have been a much better fit for this season, considering where her story was headed. It would have been nice to have a contrast between Nancy trying to go straight with Celia cropping up as competition/ temptation or something.

The scenes at Merlots I thought where fantastically done. Surreal and funny is what this show does best. They'd have worked perfectly as one of those 'True Blood' shorts. That and maybe the girl at receptions' mini-arc.

This was a never a C, but I did think they did bail out a little by not having more of the episode be about the confrontation between Patty and Ellen. What we had of that was great but it really needed to be about 20 minutes longer.

That was frantic. I like when there's so much going on in an episode of True Blood you don't have time to realise how little's going on in an episode of True Blood.

Excellent episode and, might I say, excellent review. The dream sequences used to be creepy and disorientating but by now the viewer can see them a mile off, it's more than a little tired. I'd rather see the scarred psyche's of Ellen and Patty revealed through character interaction in the real world and, thankfully,

Now THAT was an episode of True Blood. Beyond pleased at the success/ crassness of Tara and Pam. I was left beaming after that staking scene.

Watching the episode, I got the impression that Nancy was part charmed by the virtue of the doctor and that contrast was attractive to her. Of course it was a means to an end but, to me at least, it seemed more of a mutually beneficial solution (her desire and her need both met).

Myles, I should have elucidated that it wasn't in reference to this review at all, just something of note to me as a trend. a commenter above referred to her as a 'floozy' which bugs the living hell out of me and that's what set me on my merry rant. And I could rant endlessly about it.
