That didn't make the "so bad, it's good" category?

Holy crap, I'm so happy The Cramps are featured in Gateways to Geekery. I'd known of Bikini Girls with Machine Guns for years…thankfully, I was fortunate enough to stumble upon People Ain't No Good, or I would have written them off on the basis of that song.
Eeeenteresting. Very eeenteresting.
Her awesomeness in Hocus Pocus and Sister Act made me wish I could see Kathy Najimy in more live-action movie stuff.
I once read that they offered the part of Max to Leonardo DiCaprio, but he passed to star in What's Eating Gilbert's Grape instead.
Hmm….the whole thing is available on Youtube :D. I will definitely check it out. I know a lot about the Beatles but next to nothing about Linda, so this could be a great introduction (possible lack of historical accuracy notwithstanding).
I just looked up some clips on Youtube: this looks Grade A. Perfect example. I wish this was shown as much as the Temptations or Jackson 5 biopic. I'd spend at least five lazy Sundays watching a rerun.
Wahahahaha! I remember previews for it when it first came out; every time they came on I cringed! One of the main things I remember about that movie is that they hired a giant to play Michael Jackson. The dude was like, 6 foot four in real life and I remember how the actor towered over the other characters in the…
AUGH I love Two of Us! Thanks for mentioning it! Totally came off as like a stage play, and I really liked the banter between the two of them portrayed in the movie. I agree, there's a certain level of ridiculousness that you have to accept when watching these kinds of movies, but I think it ultimately serves to…
So, how about the unexpectedly touching portrayal of workplace life and a comment on the loneliness of the human condition that is Dilbert?
Haha, well yeah, but in what few interviews I've seen from the 80s he actually seems kind of normal. Shy, even.
From someone who wasn't alive before The Smiths broke up, did this guy just get weirder and more outspoken as time went on, or was he always like this?
This looks like a really cool series. I totally want to get my hands on all the issues now. I have a feeling that I'm going to be experiencing some major deprivation if I finish the last issue before January. Thanks for the well-written, informative post on this series.
I don't know, dude. Look at the biopics of The Temptations and the Jackson 5 if you ever want to see what Marah Eakin might be talking about. Great performances, passable lip-syncing, portrays key moments in the band's career and features songs that span the band's entire catalog. And more dirty laundry than all…
I never said John Lennon didn't. The few biographies I've read about his life or the Beatles' career either tried very hard to paint the Lennon-Yoko partnership and their activities together in a positive light, or were written by insiders whose opinions of the main players inform their recollections of their time…
I'd like to point out that, although it doesn't justify the way he treated his wife or son at all, John Lennon was still practically a kid by the time the Beatles became the biggest band in the world.
…I have more time for Nickelback. I feel like that needs to become a catchphrase.
I'm going to make it a point to listen to this entire list. Was this list based on more on personal preference or known critical and commercial success?
"The Charm of the Original Has Spoiled"
I know absolutely nothing of this band's work besides Fazer and Unfulfilled, which was their cut released on the soundtrack to the movie Kalifornia (starring Brad Pitt as a serial killer). I'm not a big fan of bands like Quicksand, but they held their own in an album that also features music from David Baerwald,…
