Significantly better. Hyams, as far as what I've watched, has never risen above workmanlike as a director and wildly uneven as a writer, but there's a particular quality to his cinematography that is distinct. His favoring of shadows and natural lighting makes for a weird attempt at almost realism when compared to the

I hadn't, actually, but they'll go on my list now! Also Miller and Mazzuchelli's "Born Again". The problem, I've found, is finding the right omnibuses and collections.

I'm super prepared for this. Not only did I binge Season 1 a few times, I boned up on my Daredevil lit a bit. I plowed through Miller and Romita Jr.'s "The Man Without Fear" (fantastic), Bendis and Meleev's run (smart and compelling if a bit too drawn out), and Andy Diggle's "Shadowland" era (by and large terrible).

I recommend you check out the first season of the British show Line of Duty. He's fantastic as a top cop under investigation by internal affairs who is barely keeping it together. Plus he speaks with his natural accent, which is pretty damn suave!

Hell hath no fury like an angry Ignatiy review.

"Stephen Daldy" has a nice ring to it, actually.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Nearly killing the male lead is bad for your screen time expectancy.

Does that sorta-girlfriend who shoves Sudeikis in front of a cab ever appear again? I've been turned off by all the hate this got in the original review comments, but I'm just curious because she's played by a certain actress.

I think all the debates about morality and the difference between right and wrong in this thread are really interesting, not just because people are engaging with the show in insightful ways, but I feel like they're giving it more thought than the writers apparently did by this point.

This episode gets an automatic F for even vaguely suggesting that Alex and Liam are going to start hooking up. Shelby and Caleb's dad was bad enough.

I feel for you, Molly, going from the gift that is Hannibal to this show. I've heard people rave about its "intensity" and "complexity," when all I can think is that it's glammed-up trash. Nothing seems to go anywhere and most of the characters are hateful, selfish and manipulative, with Claire arguably the worst -

Please explain to me the scientific nature of the whammy.

I hadn't actually thought of it this way. I've watched the entire season and found the fight scenes terribly dull, but Luke's boredom, combined with Jessica's lack of any real training, is as good an explanation as any.

So you're saying she's always been just average? That's interesting. I mean, Keanu Reeves gets a lot of hate for his lack of both range and improvement over the years (I just saw Bram Stoker's Dracula, and he is fucking awful), but people still watch his films, and he's smart enough to choose projects that play to

I haven't actually seen any of Priyanka Chopra's other work, but while she's certainly not a strong enough actress to make this show great (or even good), I wouldn't call her terrible. What makes her so unwatchable for you?

BEEF JERKY!

Episode 6 is, if I try with all my inconsiderable brain cells to remember, the one with the assassin lady who sort-of strips and the cars blowing up in harbors. It was terrible.

Pretty sure Will's gone past observing and into full-blown participating.

I think the final stinger should have been a shot of Chilton in his tube, looking around in desperation for something to do. The boredom Hannibal so feared became his.

I loved Hannibal's look as the bottle fell to the floor. It was like the food had been poisoned.
