Yeah. It was in Bowling for Columbine. Fuck Michael Moore for putting that in there.

A few years ago I was in a bad place emotionally and I spent a couple of months searching out things like this. I guess a psychiatrist would say that my brush with mortality gave me a morbid curiosity about death and the moments leading up to it.

Astonishing things I learned by watching this trailer:

NBC TRIMS BUSH

An extremely short personal sampling:

This might be the worst thing to ever be shown on a movie screen, and Freddy Got Fingered and the Human Centipede movies exist.

Flaming Poes

Poe Boys

JAKE: Do you know my blood type?

-10000 Internets for not titling this, "Feminist Asspirations."

I'm torn on whether I want regular coverage of this (I'd definitely ask for, say, Speechless before this one). I watched the pilot episodes and loved the humor, but it seemed rather directionless - mayhem for the sake of mayhem - so I'm somewhat on the fence until I see if there's some sort of narrative to leaven the

For me, the thing about Pixar kicking a steel-toed boot in your feelings-nads is that you'll probably only get wrecked by it if you have a particular set of life experiences that parallel the emotional beats.

The obvious meta joke is that Cher had so much plastic surgery during her life that she was perfectly preserved even after so many years of being dead.

So basically taking the Dr. Xaviar narrative out of Galactica: 1980 and conflating it with Voyagers! and then putting poor Lem from Better Off Ted in there for good measure?

Of all of the existential shivers I have had watching this show, the shot of Carol staring dreamily at Cher's corpse was the biggest. Holy shit.

You gotta be careful with people who kill someone and then develop a taste for it.

RAPTORNADO

The whole thing makes me nauseated, but I WAS entertained by the Trump Trekkies and Hillary Trekkies trying to insult each other by comparing each other to different fictional species, e.g. "Your candidate is ensnaring us in a Tholian web! Do you want our democracy to just fade out like the Defiant???"

Is there really a movie being made or is Gilliam involved in a Panza scheme?
