"Slay salmon" is the new epithet for menstrual sex, I gather?

Good luck getting THIS out of your head for the rest of the day. #SweetFreedom

The A.V. Club

Holy shit, I remember every single one of these ads.

I have to agree about Stewart and Debbie. For some reason, it's nice to see a married couple on TV who like being married to each other and who get along like people who have known each other for years. They just feel normal, which for TV is a stupendously difficult achievement.

…he's only mostly dead.

The Water-Walking Dead

It's not just that. Maybe I'm spoiled by "long game" stories like Breaking Bad but it seems like Supergirl is in a headlong rush every episode to introduce - and then resolve - plot points. Example: Livewire gets her origin story, her powers, the understanding of her powers, her big battle with Supergirl, and boxed up

After this week's episode, I was struck by two thoughts: first, they are REALLY trying to pass the Bechdel Test with flying colors, and second, they must be rushing through the season in case they don't get a S2 renewal.

A fact that is simultaneously awesome and a real shame is that this movie is many people's first introduction to Peter Cook.

Considering that Billy Crystal ad-libbed the whole "mutton, lettuce and tomato" bit, I don't think you should blame Bill Goldman.

Given how stupid the Internet has made some people (yesterday on Twitter, there were NASCAR fans breathlessly commenting on the drama of a race without realizing it was a replay of a race run two weeks ago because the network was in rain delay), I fully believe it.

I have that on a T-shirt. Never fails to draw double-takes.

You really must read the book. The Princess Bride is one of the extremely few instances where both the book and the movie are classics in their own right, and where neither is spoiled by consumption of the other.

Interesting that you bring up Jay Cronley adaptations like "Let It Ride" and "Quick Change." I have Cronley's whole collection of 80s-penned books and am of the opinion that all of the film adaptations - especially "Funny Farm" and "Quick Change" - are significant downgrades from the source material.

Chile Done Corny

It's worse than that - he's DEAD, Jim!
Dead, Jim!
Dead, Jim!

Jon Batiste is a lot smarter than he lets on, IMO. What freaks me out about him is that his face seems like it should be in Madam Toussaud's wax museum. Watch him when he talks, laughs, or otherwise moves his face - his eyes never change.

Those are the two I noticed most. I don't watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or Blindspot (though I've had a crush for Ming-Na Wen for many years).

I used to watch Carol Burnett religiously, but the only sketches that haven't aged horribly (IMO) are the ones with Tim Conway in them.
