I live in Evans City and have lived in and around the area for a little over a decade.  A friend of mine that has lived here all his life and grew up on Romero films was SO disappointed when "Land of the Dead" was filmed in Canada, because kids around here grew up wanting to be zombies in those flicks, and he was

I live in Evans City and have been to the Monroeville Mall a few times, the Pittsburgh ComiCon used to be (is it still?) held across the street, and from what I understand, the mall is nothing like what it was in the movie anymore.  Cemeteries aren't as big with keeping up with the times.  Heh!

I too live in Evans City.  As far as zombie stuff around here and the Pittsburgh area goes, it gets a little old…fast.  "The Crazies", the original, was also shot around here.  A lot of the stuff still kind of looks the same.

I live about a mile away from the cemetery too.  From what I understand, my building (an old mansion that's since been renovated into an apartment building) was one of the locations they looked at to be THE house in the film, but I guess it had a lousy audition.  I can see my street a few times in "The Crazies".
