I'm just don't have the money to support a music obsession, sadly - I grabbed maybe 10 albums this year, and there were one or two I was pretty iffy on.  Of the ones I got, these were my favorites, though I feel bad leaving Frank Ocean and Brother Ali off my list completely.

I'm sorry, but you're wrong.  If Adam Sandler's movies are consistently racist or misogynistic, they should be called out on that.  If Tyler Perry's movies are consistently misogynistic, that's a problem that should be addressed. These are things we should be talking about.

Bronson is one of my favorite movies from the last few years.  That and Drive and the Pusher movies were just so good, but Valhalla Rising just didn't really speak to me at all.

It's a cool movie, but don't go into it expecting Conan.  There are LOOOOOOOOONG stretches of people staring off into the mist, demanding to know why God abandoned them.  There are maybe two action sequences in the entire thing.

I just watched Spider-Man 2 recently and thought it held up very well; in fact, in the face of SM3 and the utterly execrable TASM, Spider-Man 2 really does seem to be a nearly-flawless Spider-Man movie, and remains one of the best super-hero films I've seen.
